This Privacy Policy explains how Monokura (“the App”) collects, uses, and protects your information during its use by the developer (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
You can create an account using one of the following methods:
- Google Account Login: Display name, email address
- Apple Account Login: Display name, email address (may use Apple’s “Hide My Email” relay address)
- Email/Password Registration: Display name, email address
This information is used for authentication purposes through Firebase Authentication.
The following data is stored when using the App’s features:
- Board names, location names
- Shopping list and inventory item information (name, quantity, unit, category, notes)
- Consumption history
This data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) and shared among members of the same board.
The App uses Google AdMob to deliver advertisements. AdMob may collect the following information:
- Device identifiers (Ad ID)
- IP address
- Device information (OS version, device model, etc.)
- Information regarding ad views and clicks
On iOS 14.5 and later, we display a dialog requesting tracking permission via the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. If a user denies tracking, personalized ads will not be delivered.
The App may automatically obtain the following technical information through Firebase:
- Device type, OS version
- App version
- Crash logs (to improve App stability)
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Ensuring account authentication and security
- Providing shopping list and inventory management features
- Data sharing among board members
- Delivering advertisements
- Improving the App and fixing bugs
- Responding to user support inquiries
We do not provide users’ personal information to third parties except in the following cases:
- Sharing with Board Members: Members participating in the same board can view item data and display names within that board.
- Service Providers: The App uses the following third-party services. Please also refer to each service’s privacy policy.
- Legal Requests: When there is a request for disclosure based on laws and regulations.
4. Data Storage and Security
- User data is stored on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) servers.
- Through Firebase security rules, users can only access their own data and data from boards they are participating in.
- All data transmission is encrypted (TLS).
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account from the settings screen. Upon account deletion, the user profile, owned boards, and all associated data will be deleted.
- Consumption History: Records of consumed items are automatically deleted after 7 days.
- Guest Mode: When used in guest mode, data is stored only in the device’s local storage and is not sent to the server. Local data is automatically cleared upon login.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to the Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as necessary. Significant changes will be notified within the App or on this page.
